As an artist, it is a joy to take part in the tradition of drawing the human figure from life. While I live in a small town we have a fabulous public gallery “The Latcham Gallery” and they organize weekly life drawing sessions throughout the year. Unlike my college days, during these sessions there is no instructor looming behind me. I can pick and choose my medium, style and paper size. Mostly, I enjoy working on A4-size paper and give my coloured pencils a good work out. Colour inspires me, and my favourites change with the mood, the model and the season. Most of these life drawings are half hour poses, although occasionally we opt for longer poses.
